Waitavala Waterslide Taveuni

The Waitavala Waterslide is a natural slippery dip ride over large polished rocks located not far from the town of Waiyevo. The local children show off their skills - some even making the slide standing up! - and are quick to introduce the waterslide to visiting tourists. After heavy rains it can be very muddy and a little difficult so be guided and advised by the staff at your hotel as to the best time to visit. The waterslide is located in a rainforest setting and is pretty as well as exciting!

The nearest accommodation is the Garden Island Resort at Waiyevo, or for backpackers the Waimakare campground. However, most resorts and hotels offer trips to the Waitavela waterslide.
